Opportunity Assessment and Transformation Roadmap:

Most of our work for clients starts with an Opportunity Assessment. The typical scope consists of an overall assessment of your current sourcing and supply management activities, with the following deliverables:

  • A review of current sourcing practices versus best practices
  • An estimate of the cost reduction opportunities, by category of spend
  • A description and estimate of other opportunities (e.g. working capital improvements, revenue enhancements)
  • A detailed roadmap of how to bring about a transformation and realize those opportunities; plus, an indication of how quickly the results could be achieved (including options going forward)
  • An "executive level" presentation (including a business case)

Transformation Guidance:

This is a light level of ongoing strategic guidance provided to the client, principally focused on ensuring that the various transformation initiatives as outlined in the Transformation Roadmap are progressing properly and promptly. This typically involves phone and email communications, and one or two days per month of on-site review and guidance. Sometimes, more extensive guidance is appropriate.


Strategic Sourcing Training:

We provide basic and advanced training in Strategic Sourcing and Negotiations Management, including our highly-rated 1.5 day program which earns 11 Continuing Education credits from the Institute for Supply Management (ISM). There are also short versions tailored specifically for the executive audience: a 4-hour or a 1-hour executive briefing for your top management team.

Greybeard also offers senior management teams an executive workshop on the subject of performance enhancement through procurement and supply management, tailored to your company's unique challenges and situation.
